Ingredients
Filling:
- 15 Coachella’s Best Organic Medjool Dates (You can buy these in bulk here!)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- A handful of crushed pecans
Crust:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 8 tbsp unsalted butter (room temperature)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ tsp salt
Tools:
- Mixer & Mixing Bowl
- 14 x 4.5 inch Tart Mold
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- In a mixing bowl combine all of the crust ingredients: flour, egg, butter, sugar, and salt
- Mix until everything is combined well
- Press the crust mixture into the tart mold covering the entire bottom and the sides
- Place the crust in the tart mold in the fridge for 10-15 minutes
- Melt the 4 tbsp of butter from the filling ingredients
- Remove the pits from the Coachella’s Best Organic Medjool Dates
- In a mixing bowl, add the 15 Organic Medjool Dates and 4tbsp of melted butter
- Mix until the Organic Medjool Dates are soft
- Add the cinnamon and pecans into the mixing bowl and continue mixing until you have a paste-like consistency
- Remove the crust from the fridge and, using a fork, poke holes throughout the crust (this allows the steam to escape preventing pockets and bubbles from forming in the crust)
- Press the filling mixture into your tart mold on top of the crust
- Place the tart into the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the crust turns golden brown
- Remove from the oven, let cool, and decorate with Dates, whole pecans, and rose petals
- Enjoy!
