Unfortunately the dates were very dry! Not like the usual luscious, fresh rhutab texture. They haven't lasted in the fridge and I had to throw most of them away--they were all mashed and cracked in their box when they arrived.

Not good! I ordered Rutab medjool dates and they were nowhere near the size they should have been. They were like small medjools. I have been eating dates for decades and know the difference. I did not get Rutab medjools. I believe they were accidentally mislabeled. Ok fair enough they are sold by weight so I could live with it, but as I started to eat them about one out of six was not good. It was kind of like biting into a small piece of pineapple, very weird and not pleasant. I have ordered from this company before and the dates were great. Not this time.

It took, what I felt was too long to ship; however, I don't know all the facts behind the scene. Communication during that delay was non-existent, so need some work there by the shipper. Once shipped, they came as ordered. AND I am just yummy over them. Soft, sweet, satisfying and OH, so full of nutrition. I used to be able to buy decent Medjools in stores in my area, but the quality was hit or miss. I intended to buy regular Medjools from Del Ray, but I never had a Rutab before and took a chance.. They may not be what you want if you want to stuff them or make date rolls, but I can't really think of any treat that is better just as it is. I crave them and have to pace myself..
