Best Dates on the Planet. Have been forever, although 20 years ago not many people knew about them. Now they are the crowd favorite next to the giant medjools. I personally think Barhi are tastier than Medjools in my opinion.

I want to start this review by saying I absolutely loved my last box of Bahri dates (8lbs, purchased last month). They were juicy and delicious. They didn't last long at my house.
I ordered an 11lb box this month because of how much I loved the dates, and am disappointed about how dry and tough these dates are. I spent a lot of money on the box of dates including shipping, and I feel let down and curious what I should do with this large box of dry dates. I might try to soak some of them, or bake with them... but I wish I would have known to expect this, and I would have saved the money and bought the baking Medjools.
Not sure what the difference between the 8lb box and the 11lb box was. I did notice that the 8lb box came without plastic around it, and the 11lb box was wrapped in plastic. All I can think is that it has been sitting around longer?
Not sure if I would be willing to make an investment in this many dates again.

Brown Barhi is a terrific variety and the moisture that it contains gives it a melt-in-the-mouth experience, every time you eat, one or a handful! In terms of flavor, sweetness and moistness, it’s right behind Rutab Medjool. I wouldn’t pick one over another though, unless you’re only able to purchase one variety. They’re all unique and worth eating side-by-side.

Pretty great. I love the chewy, caramelly texture of barhi dates when frozen. A good portion of these are too soft (over ripe?) so they don't have the chewy texture no matter how cold my freezer is. I will probably still buy again.

These barhi dates are the BOMB!!!! I've never had such fresh, moist dates before; they are so creamy in texture. The barhi dates are very flavorful.
